Christmas

Finally Christmas came! I had a lot of fun here in California! On Christmas Eve my dads side of the family (my cousins, aunts, uncles, second cousins...) came over to my grandma's house and we gave gifts to people we wouldn't see on Christmas day. On Christmas day my family and I went to church, and then we opened the gifts that we got for each other. My sister got an iPhone 5s (the finger print one), my dad got a Samsung Galaxy note 3, my mom got a couple of things that my dad, sister an I got her and finally I got an iPhone 5c (the color ones) I was really excited; I got the pink one but I might return it and get the white one (I'm not sure, its really hard to choose)!

Enfin Noël est arrivé! J'ai me amuse beaucoup en California! La veille de Noël la famille de mon pere (mes cousins​​, tantes, oncles ​​...) sont venus à la maison de ma grand-mère et nous ont donné des cadeaux à des gens que nous n'aurions pas voir le jour de Noël. Le jour de Noël, ma famille et moi sommes allés à l'église, et apres nous avons ouvert les cadeaux que nous avons achete pour l'un l'autre. Ma sœur a un iPhone 5s (le doigt empreinte digitale), mon père a eu une note Samsung Galaxy 3, ma mère a obtenu un certain nombre de choses que mon père, ma sœur un je l'ai eue et finalement j'ai eu une iPhone 5c (ceux de couleur) j'étais tres contant, ils mont achete le colour rose mais je crois que je vais le retourner et echange par le blanc (je ne suis pas sûr, il est vraiment difficile de choisir).

Ya llegó la Navidad! Yo me divertido mucho aqui en California de diversión aquí! En Nochebuena la familia de mi pardre (mis primos, tías, tíos, primos segundos ...) llegaron a la casa de mi abuela y dieron regalos a las personas que no veríamos en Navidad. El día de Navidad mi familia y yo fuimos a la misa, y el despues hemos habierto los regalos que cada uno hemos comprado para mi familia. Mi hermana tiene un 5s iPhone (el que pones el dedo y lo reconoce), mi padre una  Samsung Galaxy note 3,a  mi madre le hemos dado un par de cosas de mi papá, hermana y yo le hemos regalado y, finalmente, me dieron un iPhone 5c (los de colores) yo estaba muy contenta, y yo tengo el rosa pero creo que lo voy a devolverlo y comprar el blanco (no estoy segura, es muy difícil elegir)!

Halloween

  Last week on Thursday was Halloween! Halloween activities include trick-or-treating (going in your neighborhood colecting candy while dressed up as something), attending costume parties, decorating, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films. I went with my friends trick-or-treating. I dressed up as a lonly spirit. I'm so happy that I got alot of candy!!!!!

La semana pasada, el jueves fue Halloween! Las actividades de Halloween incluyen 'trick-or-treating' (pasando por casas recogendo caramelo mientras disfrazado de algo), ir a fiestas de disfraces, decoración, haciendo calabazas en jack-o'-linternas, hogueras, visitando las atracciones de miedo, contando historias de miedo y ver películas de terror. Fui con mis amigas trick-or-treating. Me vestí como un espíritu. Estoy tan feliz de que tengo un montón de caramelos!!!

Orange City

    Two days ago I had a concert with my choir. Since Ames Children´s Choir has 3 choir group which they are divided by age; the 2 older groups went to Orange City (3.5 hours to get there) to perform (I went because I'm in one of those groups). It was the opening celebration of the new auditorium in Orange City and we were the first ones to perform. We left at 8:00 am and got back at 9:30 pm. It was fun!!!

    Il ya deux jours, j'ai eu un concert avec ma chorale. Comme "Ames Childrens Choir" a 3 chorales ils vous divisez par l'âge, les 2 groupes plus âgés ont allé à Orange City (3.5 heures pour y arriver et je suis allée parce que je suis dans un de ces groupes). Nous étions les premiers à chante dans la salle de spectacle parce que c'était un nouveau. Nous sommes partis à 8h00 et sommes revenus à 21h30. C'était tres amusant!

    Hace dos días tuve un concierto con mi coro. Como "Ames Childrens Choir" tiene 3 coros que se dividen por edad, los 2 grupos mas mayores nos hemos ido a Orange City (3,5 horas para llegar allí y yo fui a porque estoy en uno de esos grupos). Esto era para la inaguración de un auditorio nuevo y nosotros fuimos los primeros en cantar. Salimos a las 8:00 de la mañana y regresamos a las 9:30 de la noche. Fue muy divertido!

Getting together with my friends in California

When I went to California over a month ago, I saw a few of my friends from my old school. I saw Juilliana, Ashley, Sarah, Shannon, Sofia, and Genevieve (with her brother).We went to Sky High, in Santa Clara. It's a place that has lots of trampolines all over, you can jump from trampoline to trampoline (it's really fun).  The best of all was to see my friends.

Hace como más de un mes que he ido a California. He visto algunas de mis amigas de mi colegio antiguo. Se llaman Julliana, Ashley, Sarah, Sofia, Shannon, and Genevieve (ha venido con su hermano). Hemos quedado en un sitio que se llama "Sky High". Hay trampolines por todas partes, puedes saltar de trampolín en trampolín (es muy chulo). Lo mejor de todo fue ver a mis amigas.





Depuis de plus un mois je suis allée a Californie. J'ai vue a tout mes amis de mon école anterieur. J'ai vue a Julliana, Ashley, Sarah, Shannon, Sofia, and Genevieve (avec son frere). On est aller a Sky High, c'est un lieu avec des trampolines tu peu sauté de trampoline en trampoline. La meilleure chose était de voir mes amis.

Mon anniversaire! Mi cumpleaños! My Birthday!

Yesterday was my birthday. We didn't do anything special in the morning, but for dinner we went to a Mexican restaurant.  I went with my family, my aunt, uncle, cousin and one of my sister´s friend because she is staying with us for about two weeks. After dinner we went to my house to eat cake that my uncle made. I also opened presents, I got an ice cream maker, a chocolate fondue maker, the Wii U (the new one), games for the Wii U, charm bracelet, locker accessories, locker curtains and a bag that says Germany on it( because my sister's friend is from Germany. After eating cake we went to an arcade and played, my sister came with three friends, my mom came, my aunt and my cousin. We played lots of games, at the end for prizes I got 2 balls (one for my cousin and one for me), and lots of candy.  I had a lot of fun.  Thank you!

Ayer fue mi cumpleaños.  Por la mañana no hicimos nada especial pero para cenar fuimos a un restaurante mexicano.  Fuí con mi familia, mi tía, mi tío, mi sobrina y una amiga de mi hermana porque se está quedando con nosotros por dos semanas.  Después de cenar fuimos a la casa para comer la tarta que mi tío me hizo.  También abrí los regalos, me dieron una máquina para hacer helados, otra para hacer fondue de chocolate, una Wii U (la última), juegos para la Wii U, una pulsera con colgantes, accesorios para mi armario del cole, y una bolsa que dice Alemania (porque la amiga de mi hermana es de Alemania).  Después de comer la tarta fuimos a una sala de juegos para jugar, mi hermana vino con tres amigas, mi madre, mi tía y sobrina.  Jugamos muchos juegos y al final me gane dos pelotas con luz (una para mí y otra para mi sobrina) y muchos caramelos.  Me lo pase muy bien.  Gracias

Hier, c'était mon anniversaire. Nous n'avons pas fait quelque chose de spécial dans la matinée, mais pour le dîner, nous sommes allés dans un restaurant mexicain.  Je suis alleé avec ma famille, ma tante, mon oncle, ma cousine et une amie de ma soeur parce qu'elle reste avec nous pendant deux semaines. Après le dîner, nous sommes allés dans ma maison pour manger du gâteau que mon oncle a fait. J'ai aussi ouvert les cadeaux, je vais un fabricant de la glace, un fabricant de fondue au chocolat, la Wii U (la nouvelle), des jeux pour la Wii U, bracelet de charme, accessoires de " locker" ( ce une chose que exist pas dans France , et un sac qui dit que l'Allemagne sur elle (parce que la ami de ma soeur est de l'Allemagne).  Après manger le gâteau, nous sommes allés à une arcade et joué, ma sœur est venue avec sa meilleure amie, ma mère est venue, ma tante et ma cousne . Nous avons joué beaucoup de jeux, à la fin des prix j'ai eu 2 balles (une pour mon cousin et une pour moi) et des bonbons. 

New York

Exactly two weeks ago, my family and I left to go to New York. We went by car; it took us about 18 hours (1 day and half) and we stayed at my cousin’s house. We had lots of fun; we hadn't seen them for 1 year. We went to Times Square, Central Park (it's really big),  F.A.O Schwartz (it's a really big toy store, it has 3 levels and the 1st one is all of candies!!), the Statue of Liberty,  World Trade Memorial Center, Rockefeller center, 5th Ave., the United Nations, Hell's Kitchen flea market, the Metropolitan Museum and a ton of other stuff. On my mom's birthday we went to the Brooklyn Bridge because she wanted to go and had dinner at a restaurant. We also spent time with Emi, one of my sister's best friends, she came from California for a week, it was great to see her again.  I also went to F.A.O, my mom got some candy, we couldn't resist!! Since my birthday is the 18 of August and we were going home on the 15^th, my family celebrated it on the 14^th, it was a really big surprise and I didn't expect it.  I got a slushy maker and a crochet kit that teaches you how to make crochet, of course.  I had a lot of fun!

 Hace exactamente 2 semanas que mi  familia y yo hemos ido a Nueva York. Fuimos en coche, eran cerca de 18 horas en el coche, (1 día y medio) nos quedamos en la casa de mis primos. No lo hemos pasado muy bien, no habíamos visto a mis primos en 1 año. He ido a Times Square, Central Park (que es muy grande), FAO Schwartz (que es una tienda muy grande de juguetes, tiene 3 niveles y el primero es toda la planta de  caramelos!), La Estatua de la Libertad, World Trade Memorial Center, Rockefeller Center, 5th Ave., el edificio de las Naciones Unidas, el museo Metropolitan  y un montón de otras cosas. El día del cumpleaños de mi madre nos fuimos al puente de Brooklyn porque ella quería ir y hemos cenado en un restaurante. También pasamos tiempo con Emi, una de las mejores amigas de mi hermana, vino de California por una semana, fue genial volver a verla.  También fui a la tienda de juguetes (F.A.O.) y mi madre me ha comprado chuches (estaban muy ricos)! Como mi cumpleaños es el 18 de agosto y yo no iba a estar en Nueva York el día de mi cumpleaños, el dia 14 me dieron una fiesta sorpresa muy grande que no me esperaba, mis primos me han regalado una máquina para hacer granizado y un kit para hacer crochet que te enseña cómo hacerlo. Me lo he pasado muy bien.

Il y a deux semaines ma famille a quitté Ames pour aller à New York. Nous sommes allés dans la voiture, il a fallu environ 18 heures ou 1 jour et demi pour arriver. Nous avons séjourné chez mes cousins. Nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir, nous ne les avions vus pas depuis 1 an. Nous sommes allés à Times Square, Central Park (c'est très grand), FAO Schwartz (c'est un magasin des jouets très grand, il y a 3 niveaux et le 1er c’est tous de bonbons!), La Statue de la Liberté, Le World Trade Center Memorial, Rockefeller Center, 5th Ave., Nations Unies, le Met et d'autres choses. Le jour de l'anniversaire de ma mère, nous sommes allés sur le pont de Brooklyn parce qu'elle voulait aller et on a dîné dans un restaurant. Nous avons également passé du temps avec Emi, une des meilleurs amis de ma soeur, elle est venue de Californie pour une semaine, c'était super de la revoir. Je suis aussi allé à FAO ma mère m’a acheté des bonbons. Comme mon anniversaire est le 18 Août et je n'allaient pas être là cette jour, nous l’avons célébré le 14 et c'était vraiment une grande surprise, je ne l'attendais pas, et ils m’ont donnes une machine à barbotine et un kit de crochet qui enseigne comment faire de la nourriture, mais en crochet.  Je me suis amusé beaucoup !

En Pella

Ayer estaba en Pella, porque mi hermana tuvo una clase de negocios de 5 días y la teníamos que recoger. Pella es una ciudad en Estados Unidos,  Iowa; es como una ciudad holandesa. Hay muchas tiendas pequeñas, cafés…

 

Hier, j'étais à Pella, parce que ma sœur a eu une classe d’affaires de cinq jours, on la ramasser. Pella est une ville en États-Unis, Iowa, est comme une ville néerlandaise. Cette ville est très  calme, il y a beaucoup des boutiques, cafés…

Yesterday I was in Pella, because my sister had a business class for five days and we had to pick her up. Pella is a city in United States, Iowa, is like a Dutch city. There are lots of cafes, small shops…

California

Crissy Field y Golden Gate

Hace 3 semanas hemos ido a California. Hemos ido en coche ha tardado 2 días y medio las 2 noches nos hemos quedado en hoteles, normalmente tarda 3 días enteros pero como mi madre también ha conducido cuando mi padre no quería conducir, a la vuelta hemos tardado 2 días y 5 horas porque como no nos hemos quedado en el hotel porque mi padre y mi madre querían dormir como 5 horas y después conducir, mi hermana y yo nos hemos quedado dormidas. He visto a todas mis amigas de mi cole de California.

Three weeks ago we went to California. We went by car it took two days and a half the 2 nights we stayed in hotels, it usually takes 3 full days but as my mom also drived when my dad did not want to drive, on the way back it took us around 2 days and 5 hours because we didn’t stay at the hotel because my dad and my mom wanted to sleep like 5 hours and then drive again, my sister and I fell asleep. I saw all my friends from my school in California.

Il ya 3 semaines, nous sommes allés à la Californie. Nous sommes allés en voiture, il a fallu deux jours et demi, les 2 nuits nous avons dormis dans les hôtels, ca prend habituellement 3 jours complets, mais comme ma mère a conduit quand mon père ne voulait pas conduire, cuand on est revenue  2 jours et 5 heures parce que nous n'avons pas séjourné à l'hôtel parce que mon père et ma mère voulait dormir comme 5 heures, puis conduire, ma sœur et moi avons endormi. J'ai vu tous mes amis de mon école en Californie.

5K

Today I ran a 5K (5 kilometers). It was a fund raiser for people that have cancer. I ran it in 32:21 minutes!!! My mom ran it with me. After we ran, there were snacks: oranges, yogurt, chocolate milk and water. In my school we have a program called Mary Greeley millage club you do it if you want during recess, and you get prizes every 5 miles I did 30 miles, for 25 miles you get a tee-shirt and for doing 30 miles you get a free registration for the HopeRun (what I am talking about for the people that have cancer) normally it cost 10$ but since you ran 30 miles you get it for free. And after a 200m.

Hoy corrí 5 kilómetros. Fue para sacar dinero para las personas que tienen cáncer. Lo corrí en 32:21 minutos! Mi madre corrió conmigo. Después de la carrera, habia cosas de comer: naranjas, yogurt, leche de chocolate y agua. En mi colegio tenemos un programa que se llamaba ¨Mary Greeley Millage Club¨ y es un club para correr, corres si quieres durante recreo, y te dan premios cada 5 millas, yo he hecho 30 millas y un poquito más, si haces 25 millas te dan una camiseta y cuando haces 30 millas te dan una inscripción gratuita para el HopeRun (que es la carrera que he corrido hoy en beneficio de la gente que tiene cáncer) que normalmente cuesta $ 10, pero como has corrido 30 millas te lo dan gratis. Y despues 200m.

Aujourd'hui, j'ai couru 5 kilomètres. C'était pour gqnnge de argenté pour les gens qui ont cancer. Je l'ai couru en 32:21 minutes! Ma mère a couru avec moi. Après il y avait des snacks: oranges, yaourt, lait au chocolat et de l'eau. Dans mon école, nous avons un programme appelé ‘’Mary Greeley Millage Club que vous faites si vous voulez pendant la récréation, et vous obtenez des prix toutes les 5 miles, j’ai couru 30 miles, quand tu couru 25 miles vous obtenez un tee-shirt et quand tu fais 30 miles vous obtenez une inscription gratuite pour le HopeRun (ce que je parle pour les gens qui ont le cancer) normalement sa coûte 10 $ mais comme jais couru 30 miles vous obtenez la inscription gratuit. Mi primer competición de natación

The other day I had a swim meet. I swimmed a 50 meter backstroke and another 50 meter freestyle. It started raining but we still had to swim. My parents got me a tee-shirt that had all the people participating names on it and a program book.

L'autre jour, j'ai eu une compétition de natation. Je nage 50 mètre  sur le dos et 50 mètre libre. Il a commencé pleuvoir mais nous avions encore à nager. Mes parents m'ont acheté un tee-shirt et un livre de programme.

El otro día tuve una competición de natación. He nadado de espaldas 50 metros y otros 50 metros cross. Empezó a llover, pero aun así tuvimos que nadar. Mis padres me dieron una camiseta de la competicion con todos los nombres y un programa de la competición.
